![]() It’s fairly straightforward, at times NWOBHM-tinged heavy metal (and it is metal, not rock), that’s often quite fast-paced and aggressive, with an almost early Twisted Sister kind-of sleazy belligerence. Not the bombastic, poppy melodic hook fest of Fisc, the thrashy progressivisms of ADX, or the dominating, fantastical power metal attack of Sortilege, Dum Dum occupies the territory somewhere between Bullet, Motorhead, AC-DC and Stainless Steel/Grave Digger in their more conventional moments. You won’t hear them mentioned around much these days, and while this full-length is a little patchy, there’s a actually a little bit of ass-kicking going on beneath the rather plain, monotonous exterior. Dum Dum Bullet are a French band a rung or so down the ladder from Demon Eyes, ADX, Blaspheme, and at least a couple rungs down from the ever-dominating Sortilege. ![]()
