![]() I tested the programmer out and it appears to work well, at least for those 2 PIC types, I didn't try any debugging functions.Īs for why I selected this programmer over the PICKit2 I needed a programmer that would program out of circuit devices and have Zif type sockets for easy insertion and removal. Very different from my older serial Warp13 programmer that also had two Zif sockets. The 12F675 went into the 28 pin Zif aligned to the top of the socket and the 16F913 went into the 40 pin Zif also aligned to the top of the socket. From that information I could determine where the PICs (12F675 and 16F913) should be plugged in. I could differentiate between Gnd, NC and some value other than Gnd & NC. Just a quick update, I went ahead and ohmed the 2 Zif sockets per suggestion. ![]()
